Manila, Philippines — July 17, 2013 — With the coming-together of its complete Gaming Series line including Notebooks, Motherboards, Videocards and All-in-One PCs, Micro-Star International (MSI), is once again out to give back its support to the vibrant Philippine e-Sports community.
MSI Beat It!, a global eSports/gaming event by MSI previously held in 18 other countries, is open to all passionate gamers who believe they have what it takes to compete globally.
Now, following MSI Overdrive’s success, one of 2012’s most well-remembered local gaming events, it has been confirmed that the Philippines will be the next stop of MSI Beat It!
Meanwhile, DOTA 2, being one of the most popular game titles both locally and worldwide, is the first of the numerous official game titles of MSI Beat It! PH 2013. With a prize pool of more than PHP 100,000 (USD 2,325) – and with the eventual champion earning a slot to compete in MSI Beat It! - Southeast Asia, this event is open for both homegrown and SEA teams.
Qualifying tournaments (6 slots) A series of qualifying tournaments exclusive to local teams to be held in TheNet.com, Pacific Live and Wired and Mineski Infinity starting July 28, 2013.
Online Tournament (1 slot) Open to DOTA 2 teams from SEA.
Wild Card Competition (1 slot) Teams who may or may not have yet competed in the qualifying tournaments – and weren’t able to make the cut will be given this last chance to advance to the MSI Beat It! PH Grand Finals. Open to DOTA 2 teams from PH and neighboring SEA countries.
